Shahid Law Firm is delighted to have participated in the first annual conference of the Egyptian Competition Authority, held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly. The event featured the attendance of several ministers, heads of sectoral bodies, parliamentarians, and heads of competition agencies from the MENA region.
Managing Partner Girgis Abd El-Shahid moderated a panel on “The Prior Control over Economic Concentration Operations,” which delved into the impact of competition policies on national markets and economies.
The conference received wide international acclaim for Egypt's efforts to bolster competition policies, uphold principles of competitive neutrality, and implement prior control over mergers and acquisitions.
