  • Advising on the proposed establishment of a phosphoric acid extraction facility and chemical industries complex project.
  • Advising a European mining company in its negotiations of a contract over the supply of mining equipment to the Egyptian Government.
  • Advising SAIF S.p.A. on the licensing of trading petcoke in Egypt and establishing a subsidiary for the trade, distribution, and export of petcoke and related raw materials.
  • Handling corporate secretarial matters for the representative office of Armstrong World Industries in Egypt.
  • Assisting Chemtura Corporation in the post-acquisition of Platform in connection with changing the registration holder name with respect to several products registered at the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture.
  • Advising Ferro Corporation in a number of mandates, the most recent of which was the acquisition of an Egyptian tile coatings manufacturer on a cash-free and debt-free basis, in a deal valued at approximately USD 39 million.
  • Acting as local counsel for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries on its joint venture with Siemens following the carving-out of Siemens’ metals business.
  • Advising Cementos La Unión S.A. and Áridos Játiva S.L. on the development and financing of their Arabian Cement subsidiary in Egypt.
  • Representing Cimentos de Portugal CIMPOR, the largest Portuguese cement group, in its acquisition of a majority stake in the Egyptian cement producer Ameriyah Cement Co. through a subsidiary of CIMPOR, Penrod Investments.
  • Representing Waterworks, a global environmental engineering company specializing in water treatment, against an Egyptian oil company in a dispute involving the construction of a water treatment facility and breaches of a build-own-operate (BOO) contract (CRCICA Case No. 983/2014).
  • Acting as Counsel for Setcore Spinning S.A.E. in its dispute against Sahara Building Systems Co. (CRCICA Case No. 333/2003).
  • Representing Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO) in a dispute involving a storing and distribution agreement with a cross-over between civil and criminal aspects.
