Antony is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution Department at Shahid Law Firm. Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Antony gained valuable experience during his internship, working in corporate law, arbitration, and litigation. His strong analytical research skills, combined with his focus on drafting precise legal documents, enabled him to adopt a business-centric approach to legal provisions. Antony is committed to delivering well-rounded legal counsel that integrates commercial perspectives, enhancing both his research and drafting abilities to provide clients with sound legal opinions and solutions.

  1. Representing a Saudi subcontractor related to a mega project in KSA owned by one of market leaders in the oil and gas sector. The multi-million USD ICC Saudi Law case addresses the client’s claims against one of the contractors and defends against counterclaims of alleged delay and costs.
  2. Defending the owner in an ICC Egyptian Law Hotel Management dispute. The case touches upon rudimentary concepts of hotel management and asset management in general.
  3. Defending an Egyptian business owner in an Intellectual Property dispute before WIPO under the UDRP Rules against an American trademark owner. The dispute revolves around the client’s domain name used for advertising and sale of health and nutrition supplements products provided by major brands.
  4. Acted as Consultant and Co-counsel representing a Chinese provider in an anti-dumping investigation procedure before the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry.
  5. Led the delivery of a legal consultation regarding time bar and limitation periods for insurance and reinsurance claims, as well as the execution of settlement agreement thereof under Egyptian law.
  6. Led the delivery of a full legal consultation regarding the exclusivity of the licensing Agreement entered between the client – a leading company in the Development and Real Estate sector – and a technology provider.
  7. Co-led the delivery a full legal consultation regarding the incorporation of legal entities in Free Zones and Economic Zones and the performance of activities in the Petroleum sector under Egyptian Law and GAFI instructions.

Antony holds a bachelor’s degree from Cairo University and a Maîtrise in European and International Business Law from Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, where he graduated cum laude and ranked among the top three students throughout his academic journey. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in international Arbitration.
