Osama is a Managing Associate at Shahid Law Firm’s litigation department, where he plays a crucial role in representing major clients across various industries, including L’azurde Jewelry Company, National Gas, Nokia Egypt, Abbott, Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, Vegas Oil & Gas, Rodiagnostics Egypt, Hebi Health Care, GlaxoSmithKline, Space Medical, Amoun Pharmaceuticals, and APM Terminals.
His work encompasses a broad scope of litigation activities, starting with case management, where he is involved in all stages from initial client consultations to the filing of claims and responses, ensuring that each case is strategically developed and managed. Osama conducts thorough legal research to support case strategies, identifying relevant laws, precedents, and regulations that impact his clients’ cases.
He prepares various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, ensuring that all submissions to the court are meticulously crafted to advocate effectively for his clients. In court, Osama represents clients during hearings, presenting oral arguments and evidence while engaging in cross-examinations during trials. He also actively participates in settlement negotiations, seeking to resolve disputes efficiently and favorably for his clients outside of court whenever possible. Additionally, he assists clients in the enforcement of court judgments and arbitral awards, including the execution of court orders and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Advising Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG) in setting a historic hotel triumph by acquiring a significant stake in a group of 7 historic hotels in a transaction valued at more than USD 800 million.
- Representing Vezeeta and Vezeeta E- Commerce in all of the Multi Million USD criminal cases brought against their management personnel by the Egyptian Public Prosecution Office with respect to allegedly inter alia unlicensed practice of the pharmaceutical profession and unlawful marketing for medicinal products. Criminal Litigations pertain to prosecution of Clients’ officials for an alleged unlicensed practice of Pharmacology.
- Advising one of the leading developers in the real estate industry in Egypt in purchasing of an EGP 13 Billion piece of land to build a residential compound in 6th of October city in Egypt.
- Representing PTTER in a first-of-its-kind investment USD 1 billion treaty claim brought before Cairo’s Administrative Court, the claim is based entirely on a bilateral investment treaty (BIT), setting a precedent in the Egyptian legal history.
- Advising an Egyptian company specialized in the transmission of natural gas in a dispute regarding an agreement for the transmission of natural gas to residential, commercial and industrial areas and power stations amounting to almost EGP 1 Billion.
