Hany is an associate at Shahid Law Firm and specializes in civil, commercial and labor litigation, while focusing on labor cases relating to several foreign pharmaceutical companies operating in Egypt. He has been and still is representing these leading companies in Egypt and the Middle East.

Hany has particular expertise in lawsuits, both civil and labor, and real estate disputes and registrations relating to many companies, especially with regard to matters related to the enforcement of rulings issued by various courts. In addition, he has drafted many contracts related to various matters, including: real estate, employment contracts for the private sector, preparing and reviewing regulations related to the labor law for many companies and vehicle contracts. He has extensive experience in drafting and registering these contracts as well as taking all procedures related thereto.

Hany has represented clients before all levels of Egyptian courts, up to the Court of Cassation and appeared against a number of ministries, companies and individuals in relation to real estate, labor, civil, administrative and other lawsuits.

  • Represented Abbott International Pharmaceuticals and its sister companies, which are leading companies in the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt, in settling labor disputes with amounts exceeding millions of Egyptian Pounds.
  • Represented Qatari Diar Real Estate and Tourism Investment Company – Egypt with regard to the land it owns on Corniche El Nil in Cairo, on which the company’s international hotel (called St. Regis Cairo) is established, regarding the entitlement of the company to the hotel’s land, whose value amounts to billions of Egyptian Pounds.
  • Represented Younexa Egypt for Frits and Glaze Company in its labor disputes, both in Fayoum and Suez governorates, and numerous disputes regarding financial claims imposed on it by various State entities.
  • Represented Mountain View for Development and Real Estate Investment in various real estate cases, whether with regard to its projects in the North Coast or New Cairo, which are related to the buyers of the units and their disputes with the Company amounting to millions of Pounds.
  • Represented Investia Financial Investments regarding its dispute with the Egyptian State to recover the amounts it paid to purchase one of the privatized State companies, with a claim value exceeding millions of Egyptian Pounds.
  • Represented the Delta Sand Bricks Co. in registering the entire land and buildings of the factory it owns in the industrial zone in Quesna – Menoufeya, with an area of approximately sixty acres worth hundreds of millions of Egyptian Pounds.

Hany started his academic path by obtaining an LLB in 1995 from Menoufeya University and completed his preliminary and specialized studies in arbitration from the Egyptian Arab Center for International Conciliation and Arbitration organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Law, Tanta University in 2010. He participated in the conference on crimes of misappropriation of public funds and its impact on the public service in March 2012. He also participated in the conference on the State civil servants’ scheme and the role of the Central Agency for Organization and Administration in October 2012. He further participated in the conference on public employment discipline and excessive penalties in June 2012. These conferences were organized by the Egyptian Center for Research and References.
