- Acting as arbitrator, counsel and secretary of the arbitral tribunal in institutional investment and commercial arbitrations, selected cases:
- Co-arbitrator in a CRCICA arbitration dispute arising out of a management and operation contract.
- Secretary of the Tribunal in a CRCICA arbitration relating to a dispute arising out of a sub-contract agreement for the building of a power plant in Egypt.
- Representing one of Cairo’s most historic and iconic hotels owners in a dispute with the hotel operator before the ICC.
- Acting as co-counsel for CTIP Oil & Gas International Limited and its shareholders against the Arab Republic of Egypt over a large natural gas distribution network in a dispute before ICSID and UNCITRAL under the Egypt-UAE and Egypt-Canada BITs.
- Representing (as co-lead counsel) a Cyprian upstream Oil & Gas company in two CRCICA arbitrations arising out of the same contract for works in the Oil and Gas industry, particularly, well drilling and workover, against the contractor. The claim was brought forth against the client by the contractor and amounts to circa USD 20 Million. Inji contributed to dismissing 99% of the claims.
- Acting counsel in institutional investment and commercial arbitrations, selected cases:
- Acting as co-counsel for Tantalum International LTD against the Arab Republic of Egypt over a tin and tantalum mine un a complex arbitration dispute before ICSID.
- Representing a major French video game publishing company in a CRCICA dispute concerning breaches of a service agreement.
- Representing a major American industrial automation company in a DIFC-LCIA dispute concerning breaches of a distribution agreement.
- Representing a major hotel management company in the context of several CRCICA arbitration disputes relating to FIDIC construction contracts against the contractor.
- Advising a major Korean industrial and construction company in the context of several procedural orders in preparation for a multi-million-dollar ICC arbitration against a port development company and its foreign shareholders.
- Advising the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) in the context of the new electricity law for the Electricity Utilities Financial Management and Governance Project.
Inji is a Delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR. She regularly publishes articles in various areas of Egyptian and international law and is a regular panelist. Inji sits as an arbitrator.
Inji holds an LL.B. from Cairo University, French section; an LL.M. in public international law from Leiden University and a Masters 1 in International Business Law. She is also a member of the Egyptian Bar and is a CEDR accredited mediator.
