CRCICA Draft New Arbitration Rules 2023: Enhancing Efficiency and Modernizing Practices

The Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) has recently unveiled its draft New Arbitration Rules 2023, which has amended the CRCICA Arbitration Rules 2011 to “meet the needs of users and evolving dispute resolution and trade landscapes”.

In light of the recent overhaul of major institutional rules, the draft New Rules aim at increasing efficiency, flexibility, and transparency of arbitral proceedings conducted under the auspices of the Cairo Centre, with the introduction of rules on consolidation, early dismissal of claims, emergency and expedited arbitration, multiple contracts, online filing, and third-party funding.
